A protector, a teacher, an encourager. Someone who wants to catch you up before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again. Someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your ways, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt. Someone who scolds you when you break the rules holds you when you cry shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail. All these qualities truly make fathers the masterpiece of nature that they are. They have the license to spoil us silly and they exploit the privilege to the very core.
The Unstoppable Dad
Fathers are superheroes for their children. But one might never know a man’s vulnerable place until he is seen with his daughter because it is with her that he is capable of more human emotions than he ever shares with anyone else. Let us introduce you to one such doting dad.
It was an ordinary working day at Yulu until we received an email from Mr. Manjunatha B. V. in which he expressed his desire to buy one of our Miracles for his daughter as a present on her 5th birthday. The mail read that his daughter’s eyes twinkle when she sees him return home on a Yulu Miracle and always insists on being taken on a ride.
Being well aware that Miracles are not for sale, Mr. Manjunath didn’t want any stone to be left unturned for his dear daughter whose happiness means the world to him.
The mail not only gave us a sense of fulfillment about our product delivery but brought a wide smile to all faces that read the mail. However, our operational boundaries confined the scope of a Miracle to be sold to Mr. Manjunath. At Yulu we believe in simple solutions to complex problems and this one required special attention. After discussions and deliberations, we settled on one idea. Mr. Manjunath was to be provided with a miracle at his doorstep for the entire birthday week of his daughter. We hoped that the little girl would like the small gesture from our side and enjoy rides with her dad.
This relationship has something special about it, that makes every father and every daughter in the world speak warmly about it. Behind every great daughter is a truly amazing dad. We are moved by the effort that Mr. Manjunath put in for the glimpse of shining smiles on his daughter’s face.
Open Letter To All Dads Out There.
Dear Dads,
Your tears and fears are unseen. Your love is underexpressed. But you are still our superhero. You can make us fly in your little games when we are babies. You save us from super scary spiders. You’ve got amazing strengths to open cans and jars nobody else can. I hate to admit but your dad-jokes do make me laugh when I am sad.
We know Batman is awesome and Superman is cool too
But we don’t need them if we have you …
