When was the last time you thought of a hypothetical situation and imagined a world without some of the most necessary things? If today we were to run out of our natural resources, what would we do? How long will these natural resources sustain? Several questions come to mind when we do this exercise.
We tried to imagine life without electric vehicles during and post covid. In an era that has seen some of the most technological advancements, introducing electric vehicles is among the ones that stand out.
If we had to go back to their origin, Electric vehicles first appeared in the mid-19th century. However, India’s EV journey is fairly recent. India made the first concrete decision to incentivize EVs in 2010. In the past decade, we’ve all seen the electric mobility sector go through various stages. However, the toughest of them all has been the one where Coronavirus took the EV sector by storm. In its nascent stage, the EV sector had to bear the brunt of the pandemic causing havoc in the country and affecting the mobility sector among others.
A Shift In Commuting Patterns
Indians have relied on public transport for decades. 36.5 million people in India, which is 18% of the population, travel by public transport (bus, train, tempo, auto, taxi, water transport) daily. The Delhi Metro alone carries around 2,29 million people daily!
COVID-19 knocked the world down to its knees, making mobility more difficult than before. Social distancing and following the safety protocol is the only way we can stay safe. Due to the risk of greater coronavirus exposure, public transport has been suspended temporarily. Imagine if we ran out of Yulu Miracles, our commute patterns would undergo a huge shift.
We would be even more cautious while stepping out, be in two minds while looking for mobility alternatives. Safety and hygiene would be a huge concern followed by availability. Commuting would not be the same as it is right now. However, we didn’t let that happen. We at Yulu ensured that commuting is made seamless, easy, and safe for all.
We started providing our services to COVID warriors and all those in need of a safe & solo commute. Our bikes are sanitized multiple times a day with WHO-recommended chemicals and a ‘last sanitized stamp is available on the app for each bike. We ensured that we were available 24*7 for all.
Eventually, we saw great results!
Here’s What Yuluites Have Had To Say About Miracle!
Now that we’re battling the second wave of coronavirus, solo commuting has become even more important. It’s best to get vaccinated and to only step out of homes when necessary. Stay safe, make the right choices, and for all your mobility needs, #JustYuluIt!
